Facebook Tests Video Ads With Sound Automatically Turned Up

Ads published on Facebook often account for soundless playback due to the platform’s default autoplay settings, but that consideration may be changing in the future. The company has reportedly tested video ads that not only play automatically; they play with the volume up, a feature that provokes negative reactions in 80% of Facebook users. Although brands can take advantage of Snapchat’s sound capabilities, it is still uncertain if advertisers on Facebook will be guaranteed sponsored content with sound.
