McDonald’s expands fresh beef test

McDonald’s hasn’t shared much from its Dallas test of fresh ground beef, but apparently it is going well enough to expand the test market. Newspaper Tulsa World reports that the chain is now testing fresh-beef Quarter Pounders (only) in about 75 stores in the Oklahoma city. “These new fresh beef Quarter Pounder burgers are one of the ways that McDonald’s is continuing to test updates to our menu and focus on quality preparation,” Lance Richards, VP-Menu Strategy, told the paper said in a statement. McDonald’s began operational tests of fresh quarter-pound patties in 14 Dallas/Forth Worth stores in May.
