YouTube Promises New Auditing Measures Will Prove Ad Quality

On the heels of Facebook’s decision to undergo an audit by industry watchdog the Media Rating Council, Google has agreed to have its metrics on YouTube vetted, too. The video service will now offer independent audits of campaigns to show brands when ads were served, viewed and validate the internet traffic. The move should help add a bit of transparency for advertisers who have increasingly asked for better metrics and insight.
