McDonald’s Serves Up Infomercial and Unscripted Ads for New Signature Crafted Line
By Lauren Stacy • May 3, 2017In an effort to promote its new Signature Crafted Recipes sandwich line, McDonalds has created a series of TV spots, including an “infomercial” starring English pitchman Anthony Sullivan endorsing the Frork. The brand takes two different approaches to the launch of its three new premium sandwich flavors: humor and honesty. Obviously, the humor comes from the outlandish creation of the Frork, a fork made of fries intended to help customers scoop up any toppings that may fall off a sandwich. Next Monday though, the brand will launch a series of ads for its “Our Front Doors” campaign that interview real-life customers about what makes them unique. The spots are intended to show where McD’s got its inspiration for the new line, ending with the tagline: “You bring your flavor to the world, we bring ours to you.”
