McDonald’s to Hire 11K Chicago-Area Employees With Help From Snapchat

McDonald’s is using Snapchat to invite 11,000 new employees to join their team. Through an initiative they’re calling, “Snaplications”, McDonald’s is planning to create Snapchat ads that feature employees talking about their experiences at work. If viewers swipe up on these ads, they are immediately taken to the McDonald’s career website where they’re able to apply to their local locations. The company is extending this strategy to other digital platforms, like Hulu and Spotify, with hopes to recruit 250,000 new employees by August.
