Burger King Wallops Whoppers for Anti-Bullying Social Experiment
By Sara Shaw • October 20, 2017In the midst of National Bullying Prevention Month, Burger King released a poignant three-minute ad about the ugly truth of bully prevention. During the in-store social experiment, Burger King bullies a Whopper Jr., as well as a junior in high school. It shows that people are reluctant to speak up when they see someone being bullied, but when their burgers have been ruined, they are quick to complain. The entire ad takes place in a Burger King and puts a favorite menu item as a lead character. By the end of the ad viewers are left feeling encouraged to prevent bullying and may have found new respect for Burger King.
