Amazon’s Ad Business Will Get Another Boost with the Rollout of a New API for Self-Serve Ads

Last week Amazon announced that their ad business revenue grew 58%. This week they announced the testing of an application programming interface for their marketing services which encompasses self-served Amazon ads like paid search. This new API would specifically serve brands and eventually offer as much self-service, customization as possible. Paid search is such a big part of the ad business, that adding an API to connect it to information that brands want would make it even more powerful. This significant step is just another sign that Amazon’s ad business continues to grow, making them all the more competitive with Google and Facebook.
