Facebook Just Created More Ad Inventory– Through Instagram

Facebook has maxed out its ad inventory and now turns to Instagram to pick up the slack. In a quiet announcement through the Instagram help center, Instagram said they will now see posts created by people that they don’t follow and “recommended for you” posts. This is an effort to get people to spend more time on the app and ultimately be exposed to more advertising. In order for Facebook, Instagram’s parent company, to grow they must create more ad space.
