Wendy’s Sees McDonald’s Fresh Beef as an Opportunity

Wendy’s president and CEO Todd Penegor is not concerned about the recent promotion of Mcdonald’s new fresh beef Quarter Pounder. Wendy’s has seen zero business impact from the competitor’s new fresh beef initiative and Penegor says, “ it [gives] us a platform to continue to tell our story.” The story that Wendy’s has always had fresh ingredients for nearly 50 years. Wendy’s has experienced steady growth over the past few years. It continues to see increased monthly mobile app downloads and 60% of company-owned restaurants have kiosks in place.
