Facebook Inches Closer to Fact-Checking Its News

Facebook is rolling out five test features to a segment of its American user base aimed at flagging potentially fake news articles. The social media giant hopes the measures will help rid newsfeeds of faux publishers that make a profit from click-bait headlines containing blatant lies. In an added effort, it’s also working with Poynter’s International Fact Checking Network, a small army of professionals dedicated to reviewing the validity of news-minded articles.
