Instagram Now Lets You Share Live Videos through Direct Messages

Last week, Instagram rolled out a new messaging function—users can now share live video through direct messaging. This is more than just co-watching, which brands like Google, Tumblr and Apple offer through other applications. With the new Instagram feature, users can either share their own personal live videos directly with friends or invite friends to watch someone else’s live video. Kids are able to “hang out” virtually, and thanks to Instagram and advanced camera settings, they can now do so through live video.
