Whoa: No. 1 show in 18-34s is on cable

Most people under 34 have never known a world without cable TV. They grew up with it as kids, watching Disney Channel and Nickelodeon, and they don’t really differentiate between cable and broadcast, other than knowing that cable channels tend to be higher up the dial.
By contrast, older viewers remember when there were just three choices on TV, and they’ve been trained to go to those channels first when they switch on the tube. Cable is more of an afterthought.
As these demos age, the line between cable and broadcast will continue to blur more and more, and cable outrating everything on broadcast will become more of the norm.
