Walmart’s Podcast Pushes Message of Saving Time

The second season of Walmart’s “Outside the Box” podcast is about to launch, and this season it is centered around the value of time. “[Saving time] is something that customers, especially our customers, are looking for when they’re shopping,” said Emily Schmid, Walmart’s director of digital content. Guests on the podcast include professor of psychology and TED podcast host, Adam Grant, Bonobos CEO Andy Dunn and many others. Other brands like GE, Microsoft, Trader Joe’s and McDonald’s have launched singular themed podcasts, proving that brands are only getting their feet wet in the podcast space.
