Petition nets 250K signatures asking Dunkin’ Donuts to dump polystyrene cups

About 250,000 signatures made their way onto a Change.org petition asking Dunkin’ Donuts to end its use of polystyrene cups by April 2015. Students from Park School in Brooline, Mass., facilitated the signature drive and they are meeting with the brand’s executives to discuss alternative cups.

Dunkin’ spokeswoman Michelle King told the publication that the company pledged in June 2013 that it would roll out an alternative to foam cups nationwide within two to three years, and the company remains on track toward that goal.
