BUFFALO WILD WINGS, SOUTHWEST AIRLINES, AND OTHERS RIDE ‘GAME OF THRONES’ FINAL SEASON
By Sara Shaw • April 17, 2019Many brands are capitalizing on the recent premiere of the final season of Game of Thrones. Mountain Dew’s, #ForTheThrone campaign and Oreo’s house-inspired cookies were among the first, but others have also joined in on the opportunity.
Buffalo Wild Wings and Shake Shack introduced limited time dragon-themed menu items. Southwest Airlines featured their flight attendant who shared the name of one of the main character, John Snow, for a social stunt. Even Koolaid got in on the action with a social video of the Kool-aid main charging through the ice wall that separates the Seven Kingdoms from the north.
