Celebrity chef, David Chang, used 360-degree VR technology to let people experience food without tasting it. With the help of American Express, The New York Times and the latest technology, Chang was able to take viewers inside his uni with chickpea hozon dish by introducing immersive visuals while he explains the inspiration for the dish. This blend of food and technology is part of American Express’s new campaign, “Platinum Transported” which attempts to bring viewers closer to the real experience in hopes that they’ll be motivated to try the real deal.
