Facebook Wants to Award Ads That Stir Emojis, Taking Entries in Categories Such as ‘Laugh,’ Cry’ and ‘Wow’

Inspired by the reaction button on users’ posts, Facebook has changed its awards to celebrate agency work in categories called Laugh, Cry, Wow, Love and Act. Agencies can submit work in any format from any of Facebook’s platforms, including Instagram and Messenger. As social media becomes an increasingly critical part of ad campaigns, the social giant has capitalized on the innovative and creative opportunities its platforms provide.
