New research shows that in-stream video ads outperform preroll

The majority of viewers prefer to skip preroll ads, although there’s still a chance for advertisers to make a lasting impression through video ads. Small ads anchored to the bottom of a mobile screen and shorter formats on platforms such as YouTube and Snapchat are shown to be drastically more effective in encouraging consumer recall. These studies could lead brands to further refine their best practices, especially when advertising on mobile.
