Pinterest’s ‘Lens’ Matches Real-World Objects With Products For Sale

This Wednesday, Pinterest launched three new features on the app: Lens, Instant Ideas and Shop the Look. While Instant Ideas mirrors the idea behind Instagram’s Explore section, both Lens and Shop the Look offer exciting opportunities for brands to boost conversion rates. As a visual search tool, Lens uses a phone’s camera to match real-world objects with similar-looking images found on Pinterest, and Shop the Look shows Pinners similar products they can purchase via Buyable Pins.
