Attracting over 500 million users within the first eight weeks after its launch, Pokemon Go showed incredible reach and potential from the very start. While some thought the AR game was only a fad, brands like Starbucks and Sprint have seen continued success in using special promotions around Pokemon Go to drive awareness and foot traffic to their stores. The creators of the game have also recently signaled a move towards incorporating ads into the platform, but only those that feel organic to the user experience.
