Popeyes’ 12-Hour Drive Thru Begins in Texas, Ends in Louisianna
By Sara Shaw • October 24, 2018Yesterday, Popeyes opened its newest drive-thru, in Fort Stockton, Texas. And while such services are typically meant to make life easier for busy eaters, this one is making consumers work for their food. The process begins by ordering food at the drive thru’s menu board in Fort Stockton, but the pick-up window is a 12-hour road trip away, at Popeyes’ flagship location on Canal Street in New Orleans, Louisiana.
The stunt, highlights the 12-hour marination process Popeyes’ chicken undergoes before it gets to your table. The drive-thru officially kicks into gear on November 9, but Popeyes already gave some fans a preview of the trip, as seen in the film above.
