Snapchat Filters Ads Now Target People Not Just Places

“Audience filters,” is a new tool that Snapchat has created to allow brands to target select audiences rather than just locations. This would allow brands to experiment with more creative messaging and target based on interests, time of day, age, gender and other criteria. Snapchat is rolling out more and more updates to attract the kinds of marketers that go to Facebook and Google. In Q3 there were five times as many advertisers on Snapchat than in the previous quarter, and the addition of audience filters is sure to help.
