Snapchat Has Launched In-App AR Shopping, with Adidas and Coty Among the First Sellers

Snapchat recently announced their plans to marry augmented reality with e-commerce within the app via “Shoppable AR.” This comes months after a successful partnership with Nike where an exclusive pair of sneakers sold out in less than 30 minutes within the app. The solution will allow advertisers to place a “button” onto any AR lenses they are running on Snap. This button could drive users to store locations, online stores or apps where they can purchase the product among other capabilities.
