Twitter Promises to Silence Trolls, Making the Platform Less Toxic for Brands Too

On Tuesday Twitter announced it is rolling out features to protect users and brands from online trolls and abusive content. The safety features include a safer search option that blocks offensive content and prevention methods to keep abusive users from creating new accounts. With ad sales slowing as brands question the platform’s occasionally toxic atmosphere, the company has been rapidly trying to get its troll infestation under control.
