Thus far, 2017 has proven to be a successful year for Wendy’s social media team. Between its infamously sassy tweets to McDonald’s and its 18 million retweet challenge to a fan, brands have a lot to learn from the fast food chain. When asked about its recent viral stardom, a Wendy’s spokesperson responded, “we see ourselves as a challenger with charm, so we can take advantage of opportunities to engage with our fans in very different way from our competitors.”
