KFC’s branded content series titled, “Around the World in 99 Gigs” has now racked up over 6 million views on YouTube, leading it to plan for the launch of a second series. The company attributes the success of the show to clearly focused content that appealed to young audiences, along with incentivizing views through exclusive offers. QSR brands considering branded content should look at McDonald’s “Channel Us” series as a cautionary tale, and may want to check out KFC’s channel for inspiration.
