YouTube Reveals Action Plan to Tackle Spate Brand Safety Issues

With many brand safety woes in the headlines over the past several months, YouTube has been trying to prove that their platform is still a safe place to advertise. Brands like PepsiCo, The Times and Johnson & Johnson have pulled themselves from the site after seeing their ads next to videos with explicit content. To combat these safety concerns, YouTube has created a plan which involves a stricter content vetting process and ad criteria to make marketers feel more confident about where their ads are being seen. YouTube says, while challenges to the platform evolve, so will their efforts to solve them, taking any step necessary to protect the YouTube community.
