KFC leads as first national U.S. QSR to test plant-based chicken, in partnership with Beyond Meat

Kentucky Fried Chicken has introduced a plant-based chicken, in partnership with Beyond Meat. The Beyond Fried Chicken will be part of an exclusive, one restaurant, test in Atlanta, Georgia launching August 27. Beyond Fried Chicken is available in the 6- and 12-piece nuggets, or boneless wings.
“KFC Beyond Fried Chicken is so delicious, our customers will find it difficult to tell that it’s plant-based,” Kevin Hochman said, president and chief concept officer of KFC U.S. The announcement of plant-based chicken makes the KFC and Beyond Meat partnership a unique one and the first of its kind in the U.S. QSR space.
