Krispy Kreme makes scannable coupon out of icing

To advertise its “Day of Dozens,” Krispy Kreme customized the company’s donut glazer so that it would drip streams of icing in the form of a barcode. They then captured the ribbons of sugary goodness on a video that consumers can scan on their phone to get a coupon landing them their free second dozen.
