Hate small talk? Burger King’s ‘Silent Drive-Thru’ cuts the chatter

Knowing that Finns generally hate small talk, something that’s largely unavoidable in the traditional food-ordering process, Helsinki agency Superson created a Silent Drive-Thru option for locations in Finland.
The stunt was launched earlier this year and was aimed at promoting the local Burger King app. Drivers could order via the app, then wait in the parking lot for a meal to be delivered without exchanging a word.
According to the case study, the Silent Drive-Thru doubled sales via the mobile app within a month of launch and continued to double each month since.
