Move Over McDonald’s, The Future of Fast Food is Vegan

Earlier this year, a Burger King in Southern California was overtaken by a new kind of fast food restaurant. Plant Power Fast Food launched in January 2016 and all of the menu items are vegan. Claiming to be the future of fast food, their goal is to inspire people to ask themselves questions about where their food comes from and think differently about their choices. So far primary consumers are not vegans or vegetarians, but meat-eaters who want to try something new. Eventually the company would like to expand to a franchise model nationwide, but for now they will distribute locations throughout Southern California.
