It’s official: California goes for $15 minimum wage

Restaurant operators across California said Monday that a proposed deal to raise the minimum wage to $15 per hour would result in higher menu prices and fewer jobs for entry-level workers across the state. Gov. Jerry Brown on Monday announced a landmark deal between lawmakers and union leaders that would increase the state’s minimum wage to $15 an hour by 2022 for employers.
