McDonald’s Employees Have New Uniforms & They’re Not Lovin’ It

When McDonald’s announced it was revamping its employee uniforms, many were excited to hear they would be designed by Hollywood stylists Bindu Rivas and Wariare Boswell. Both have notable resumes, dressing celebrities like Ryan Gosling and Ellen DeGeneres, but employees are not impressed. Although the chain claims that the new uniforms are intended to “bridge the gap between fashion and function,” many have compared the designs to the drab attire of those living in Hunger Game’s District 12 and the uniforms worn on the Death Star in the Star Wars series. Despite criticism, McDonald’s is moving forward with plans to outfit every one of its 850,000 staff members in the new uniform.
