McDonald’s Risky Commitment To A Cage Free Eggs Supply Chain

McDonald’s recently announced a 10-year plan to source cage free eggs in an effort to go healthy, but that investment could prove problematic for a company that purchases 2 billion eggs every year. Such an overhaul of the system would essentially mean building a new supply chain from the ground up. Nevertheless, the daunting task hasn’t scared away McDonald’s competitors, as numerous other fast food chains have joined the cage free movement.
