Olive Garden Issues A Response To A Devastating Presentation

Darden Restaurants, the parent company of Olive Garden, just issued a response to the 294-slide presentation filed last week by activist hedge fund Starboard Value LP. Darden responded to Starboard’s assertion that its endless salad and breadsticks promotion creates food waste and also responded to Starboard’s issue with the “dishwasher-safe” take-out packaging. As for a number of the Olive Garden plans laid out by Starboard, Darden says it is already carrying them out, with the actions “delivering results,” the company said.
