Behind Chipotle’s in-app ordering strategy

This fall, Chipotle will release a redesigned app to cut wait times and increase customer visits. The new app update will provide exact timing on when a customer’s order is ready and give users the ability to pay with Apple and Android Pay. Also, Chipotle will start processing digital orders on a separate prep line to let those ordering through the app skip ahead of those placing orders in the restaurant.
