On Tuesday, Caliburger launched a new self-ordering kiosk that allows customers to use facial recognition technology to place their order. When ordering at the kiosk for the first time, customers are prompted to attach their face to their rewards account. When they return, the system will automatically bring up their past order and rewards information. Currently the machines are only being tested at one location in Pasadena, CA., but the company hopes to expand the technology across the country. In the article below, watch a demonstration video and read more about facial recognition technology across the globe.
