Taco Bell eliminating 9 menu items

By Sara Shaw • September 4, 2019

Taco Bell is bidding farewell to two classic Doritos Locos Tacos flavors as part of a menu “decluttering” effort aimed at highlighting best sellers and the most popular combo meals, the company announced Wednesday.

The refresh also includes reorganizing Taco Bell’s nearly 20 menu combinations. Tweaked menu boards will feature new “combo” numbers attached to the 13 most popular choices. For example, the 3 Crunchy Taco Supreme Combo, formerly No. 3 on the menu, is now No. 1.

The Taco Bell menu refresh will go into effect Sept. 12 and comes on the heels of other QSRs trimming the fat from bloated menus including Jack in the Box and McDonald’s.
